The main entrance to the stadium is really impressive.  Located near home plate, this entrance has two large Angels hats that act as shading for those waiting to enter the stadium.  There is also a collection of oversized bats and balls that seem to lead you into the stadium.  On the ground directly in front of this entrance is a regulation-sized baseball diamond and pitchers mound.  Also, a large Angels sign out in the parking lot can be seen from the highway, and was very helpful in confirming that I was in the right place.

Nothing too noteworthy about the interior of the stadium to talk about except 1) The upper deck is very steep as I had trouble walking up it in my flip flops, and  2) To the left of the batter's eye in center field is neat-looking pile of rocks.

Stories from the Road
Happy Fourth of July!  I was determined to spend the day on a beach, in Orange County, on my way to Anaheim from San Diego to catch the Angels game.  I spent time at Dana Point (windy), Laguna beach (crowded) and Newport Beach (perfect).

On another note, I became acutely aware of a SoCal phenomena called "June Gloom" where overcast skies and cool temperatures are prevalent in the mornings, but end up giving way to bright, sunny skies in the mid to late afternoon.

After the game, I went to Huntington Beach to watch the July 4th fireworks.  It was another windy and cold night, but luckily, I had my San Diego hoodie with me so I was set.
