Although it was a dome stadium (probably a good thing given that it is Houston), its not as bland/blah/boring as most dome stadium tend to be.  You could see the Houston skyline through a large window that spans left field end-to-end.

Stories from the Road
I visited Discovery Green, one of the many green spaces in downtown Houston.  With its grass amphitheater and ornamental oddities, the park is very reminiscent of Millenium Park in Chicago.  When I was there, some sort of classic rock band was playing for the city's summer concert series.

The skyscrapers in downtown Houston are impressive and new, but all of them seem to be stand-alone buildings with very few streetside shops and eateries.  As might be expected, the Tex Mex is fantastic!
